KIRON VISWANATH

Born in 1961, Kiron Viswanath grew up in the coastal state of Kerala in India. Attracted to the rich biodiversity in the nearby waters, he chose a career in aquatic biology. After his education in India and Japan, he worked at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology until 2004, when he moved to Bodø - a beautiful Norwegian city located above the Arctic Circle. In Bodø, Kiron is currently working as Professor of Fish Immunobiology and Preventive Health at the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University.
